Each project is broken down into stages. This ensures our clients input before moving ahead with the next design phase, and it also means you have the choice to work with us throughout the complete process, or select to hire us for separate services. How involved we are with your project is entirely up to you.
Once you have decided that we are the team for you, We then have our first design meeting to discuss your design objectives, survey the site and establish a brief and a budget. We also take into consideration any constraints of the project.
We then take the information you have given us and start the design process through the development of preliminary space plans, conceptual drawings and furniture and material research. At this stage we can also provide a 3D artistic visualisation of the space being designed to help you understand the feeling of the space before you commit.
This is where we document the proposed design into technical drawings and specification documents that we then issue to council for approval (if necessary). We make sure all designs adhere to Australian Standards regarding restrictions and regulations, complete final selections of finishes and fittings and gather any required service consultant plans.
Contract Documentation and Administration
All documentation drawings and specification reports are prepared to price the job and inform the design intent to the builder. We can also help with tender services by recommending builders to secure a fair price and time frame.
This is where the ideas that you had come to life. We will conduct site inspections and liaise with you and the builders on site to ensure that construction goes accordingly and address any concerns.
We will complete a final walk-through with you and go through any remaining items on the defects list. A set of ‘As Constructed’ drawings will be delivered to you and the project handover is complete.
Not all of these activities will pertain to your particular project; you have the option to select the services depending on your specific needs. For more information please call us at 0457 600 727 (Kerry Brooks) or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
